The main fabric is made from a twin sized dust ruffle. The polka dot is a remanat from my stash and the lining is some vintage goodness from my stash as is the big brown button. It's called the Wien Library Bag in honor of our local library that me and the kids visit at least once a week. It has one large pleat in the center front with a smaller tacked down pleat on each side seam. It's the perfect size for toting library books or whatever else needs a cute bag.
If you'd like a chance to win this neato tote, leave me a comment. I'll pick a random winner Saturday morning. Good luck!
I saw your post on WR, and I think your bags are super cute! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteYour library tote sure beats the cloth Loblaws bag I am currently using! And since I visit the library so often they know me by name~

ReplyDeleteI like it very much, and would love to own. Can you please share where you got the pattern?
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence...my 2 year old was throwing such a huge tantrum at the library today, that we were asked to leave!!! I can't believe I was kicked out of the LIBRARY! I think if I showed up with your amazingly cute bag, they'd let us back in!

Lovely bag, but them I'm a sucker for anything with polka dots. It would certainly help when carrying all those craft books back from the Library
ReplyDeleteI followed you here from WR too, and I LOVE that bag. I'm a teacher, so I always seem to have a few bags full of books and paperwork that I carry backwards and forwards. It would be great to have a lovely handmade bag to carry my stuff in!
ReplyDeleteOh that is beautiful! I love the one you gave as a gift, too, that I saw on WR.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to find a fellow craft-blogger!! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the pleat in this bag and the fabrics coordinate beautifully. I would be so proud to use this for my weekly library trips. Actually, I'd probably use it at other times too because it's too pretty to sit in the closet!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on WR too- what a great bag! My email is jennirowles@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThis is the beautiful sort of bag that I always mean to make for myself, but I'm too busy making something for everyone else. That's just the way we women work...
ReplyDeleteI love your bags! I am still trying to work up the courage to attempt something like this. I am feeling a little more inspired now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love it, what pattern do you use? or is it your own. I would love to go in the draw.
